Back to the 60's today with Simon Dupree & The Big Sound although the EP is from 1978 the tracks are from 1967-68 there is also the single mono version of Kites. The EP is genuine stereo well side 1 is side 2 I'm not so sure

A couple of stories to go with this upload
The band were using the same studio at Abbey Road as the Beatles who were recording Sgt Peppers. The band decided that dragging their own gear in to the studio was stupid so they decided to use the Beatles gear that's how the mellotron came to be on Kites.
They had a keyboard player for a while called Reg Dwight but he left the band to go solo. I wonder what ever happened to him
